I'll be moving to Houston this summer and will be pretty busy my first month there. I'm thinking the way to go for food will be a meal delivery company for my first month to make the transition easier. I'll be living by myself that month and in the league city area. Any suggestions? I'm a fairly good cook and have made meals and packaged them to last 5-7 days but not sure if I really want to bother with that my first month. I'm also open to grocery stores similar to a Trader Joe's where I can get a number of ready to eat meals and freeze them. Thanks!

SpaceCityTakeout ‹ Clear Lake Texas's Premier Restaurant Delivery Service

Aside from that, probably just the pizza joints. If the Village Pizza & Seafood on 518 is still going, they may deliver and they have a lot of stuff besides pizza. I know the one in Texas City does. None of this should be confused with "gourmet" anything. This is Galveston County.

The nicer grocers have many premade meals. The healthy food companies (my fit, snap) also sell meals in stores. Pretty easy to shop here.

You'd do better to purchase your meals in the grocery stores. There are Krogers, H-E-Bs, a Randall's, and a new Fresh Market store in the Clear Lake area (League City vicinity). And pretty much any chain restaurant you can name, & many non-chain ones as well. You shouldn't go hungry . If you want to explore into Houston proper (quite a drive, but you could take an ice chest), there are stores such as Whole Foods, Central Market, & Trader Joe's, along with a myriad of other options.
