K LoLo that is interesting. Did the company say when the complex will be completed?

They did not say. They're barely working on the ground right now...they haven't even started pouring concrete, so it will probably be awhile.

[quote=wiley9;34903964]Hi - any thoughts on this subdivision? I am moving to Houston this summer, and don't know the city well.
I viewed a few homes in Shadow Oaks this week. The neighborhood seemed very quaint and the homes were generally well-kept. I thought the area was pretty. Some of the surrounding area seemed a bit iffy (Westview in particular).

Is this generally a safe place to live?

Many thanks for your thoughts.[/QUO

My parents own a house at 1433 Wisterwood, that should be available soon. I grew up in this area and still have friends in the area. It is a great place for families. Some of the best schools in Houston close to the protests.
My parents...Robert/Jean Weems 713 724 1192, or myself 231 838 6326. Hope your move works out well.

Hi - I did not end up moving to this subdivision, but wish I had. I went to apartments instead, first to the Galleria area, which was a horrible experience. Lots of crime, trashy neighbors, the worst traffic ever...it was awful. We then move to the Energy Corridor area, and it's been a bit better, but not by much. Crime in Houston is just much worse than I anticipated.

If I were you, I would get a house in Shadow Oaks or a similar area. I have heard all positive things about Shadow Oaks and the general housing developments in that area, but I am certainly not an expert. I have a friend who lives over there, and she loves it. I would do anything possible to avoid living in apartments in this city, because they seem to be unsafe and very overpriced.

Just sharing my experience, and I do hope it helps. Good luck!
