Hello everyone! I am from Northern California and I am heading down to Houston, Texas to visit some family for a while.

All that I want to know is if there are any significant populations of Russians in Houston or not.

I know that there are heavy populations of them in California, especially in Sacramento, San Francisco and L.A. and a number of them in NYC, but I am wondering if there is a significant population of Russians in Houston, TX. Are there any? I really would like to know.

2011 Language Mapper Tool - U.S Census Bureau

Pick Russian as the language, and zoom in on Houston.

Not really, but I seem to have dated a lot of them over the past few years. You kind of meet them randomly.

Russian Bear 1801 Dairy Ashford is a Russian restaurant and hangout.

Don't know if it is still printed, but you used to be able to get "Our Texas," a Russian language local paper at the Russian General Store (not going to try to do the Cyrillic name on here).

Nah...it is very different from no. Cali here. Russians are spread...no community real. And a feel to these Russians is also very different...not as friendly if you ask me...
