Any recommendations for bottled water delivery service in the Houston area? I searched past threads and found plenty of information about complaints of smelly water but very little on companies that deliver. I plan on purchasing a bottom loading dispenser and having the water delivered to my home.

And before you ask, yes I have tried using filters and other remedies. I live in Spring Branch (city of Houston water) and it doesn't matter what I have tried...the water still smells.

Why not just buy a few bottles at a grocery or home store? If you take them back for exchange, the new bottle is pretty cheap. Good to have a few bottles in the garage this time of year for emergency preparedness anyway. We have a Primo bottom bottle dispenser and our family of four uses the five gallon jugs. We go through about 2-3 per week, and with exchange the jugs are $6-7 each. Having moved here from the Pac NW, it sucks to actually buy water for cooking/consumption, but the muni water is so nasty here that we decided to do so.

I used Ozarka a long time ago. It is not cheap though.

I use Nestle pure life. I would say 5 gallon bottles are $6 or $7 a piece and u get delivery once a month or more often based on your schedule. I have my own dispenser which over amazon can cost anywhere from $50-$300. I have one with both warm and cold option and one which does not require to lift the heavy bottles upside down

We use Sparkletts at my office. They deliver the smaller bottles and we have a hot/cold dispenser.

I've noticed an 'off smell' to the water in the last few days as well. I'm in that area, glad I'm not alone.

I ended up just buying a ceramic crock and purchasing the bottled water at HEB for now. It smells and tastes much better than what is coming out of my tap. I may look into buying a bottom loader because the five gallon size is very heavy for me to lift up. Doing fine with the three gallon. I know the city of Houston is saying the water is fine for consumption but I have my doubts.

We started to use 3 gallon jugs at work since they were easier to lift than the 5 gallon jugs. But still the ladies in the office would always go find someone to reload the water when it was empty.
