NelNYC is on a distinguished road
Default Future college grad looking to move to a HiP Houston!

Hey everyone,

I am 22 y/o and will be graduating from nursing school in 08' and I am interested in moving to Houston. I'm a Brooklyn, Ny girl. I grew up here all my life. I live in a pretty diverse, urban, gentrified area..(park slope/prospect heights), if anyone is familiar. Anyway, can anyone recommend a cool, multicultural, young, hip kind of place to live in Houston? Somewhere with a artsy kind of flair to it, also somewhere a single girl my age would feel comfortable and safe. Just to give you a bit of an idea of the kind of personality I have..

Im eccelctic, love the SUN and humidity, have natural kinky hair, love foriegn and indie films, my fav stores are urban outfitters and american apparel,my fav foods are italian and spanish,...I also plan on joining doctors w/o borders after a two year working stint in houston...(feels like im trying to catch a date instead of find a place to live lol)

So if anybody has any idea of what I am talking about here..give me a shout out!

Thank

p.s. I am looking to rent..

I live in Brooklyn, not to far from you it sounds.

Montrose, Museum District, the Heights, Midtown or around the Rice Village are all options that would meet your criteria best.

I really don't recommend the medical center. Here are some previous posts by me regarding that area:
