Not sure who to contact about this as I've done everything I know to do. I live on a dead end street in Montrose. We have a HUGE dumpster that gets emptied weekly however the large junk items (furniture, odds and ends trash over flow) NEVER gets picked up. There is a sofa that has been near the dumpster for at least a year. Recently two more sofas have been added to that pile. On the other side of the fence near another dumpster there are tables, mattresses, sofas, empty boxes. Nothing gets removed ever. Adding insult to injury the dumpster was completely full this week the over flow was sitting in front of the bin, they dump the bin but leave all the extra trash sitting around outside. I am so fed up, I pay decent money to live here and the overflow of junk is ridiculous. What should I do? I see that there are scheduled times for "junk items" to be picked up but month after month after month no one comes to get it and its starting to be a huge issue. FWIW our bins are green so I believe that is WasteManagement. I'm worried about rats, roaches, etc and just having a nice looking area to walk my dogs. HELP!

Call 311 and report it. May want to contact the mayor or city council members office too.

That doesn't happen in The Woodlands. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself).

What are the dumpsters for? Are they neighborhood dumpsters for residents' trash? Business dumpsters? Dumpsters for a remodeling job?

I think Montrose might have a management district. If so, you could contact them.
