Hey guys!

Looking for suggestions/recommendation/advice regarding bridal makeup artist in Houston. Specifically South Asian bridal makeup. I'm from Canada and I don't know anybody there so I'm absolutely clueless! I have heard about Aisha's salon but would love to know about other options. Thank you!

Which part of the Houston area will you be in? There are many South Asian beauty salons here that offer bridal services (makeup, hair, help with clothes), but I am guessing you would want someone near wherever you will be staying.

I know that the artistes at 'blush and co' has a lot of experience doing south Asian weddings. Ask for cindy. Their web site is blushandco.com.

There is a place called AISHA's and they do all that and they are probably every where in Houston. Simply Google it and congratulations to whoever is getting married. Peace!

Hey guys! Thank you so much for your suggestion. I'll be staying near the Rosenberg/Cottonwood area. Anyone has any recommendation for those areas?

It's my wedding! :P And I am absolutely clueless about Houston/Texas so I'll prolly be bugging you guys with more related/unrelated, silly questions. I'd definitely need help with makeup, hair and clothes (I don't know how to wear a sari )
Any idea how much it would cost? I called Aisha's that's located in Hillcroft and the receptionist said she wasn't sure about the cost because it depends on how "lavish" my makeup would be :\

Haha..to be honest, I think, the only way South Asian bridal makeup is different than others is because it's more of an "extreme makeover". Over the top, too fancy. Not that I'm looking forward to an extreme makeover, believe me. But it would just make my mom very happy if I looked like a typical South Asian bride that she sees in South Asian movies

I'm not too familiar with Rosenberg, but I am in Richmond (closer to the Sugar Land side). One place I know of that does bridal makeup, mehndi, hair, etc is:

Monalisha Salon & Spa
www.monalishasalonandspa.com
281-933-8804

Congrats and good luck with your wedding!

Oh and I am sorry but I have no idea about the cost, as my wedding was over a decade ago in another state.
