How About Those Houston Texans??
Hi, Texan fans. Let's see if we can gather around this computer campfire for some post-game marshmallow roasting.
I'd love to get your thoughts about the Texans after finishing 8-8 for the first time in franchise history following a 42-28 win over Jacksonville. Are you looking forward to next season? The Texans are on their way to being a winning franchise after years of futility in trying to get off the ground. Now they have to look forward to the NFL Draft a few months after the Super Bowl.
Let's hear from you. Let 'er rip!

Injuries hurt this team big time. The Texans have the most players injured and on IR. Last year, the Steelers, Jaguars, and Packers were all 8-8 last year and now look what they did this season. If the Texans can stay healthy next season, 10 wins or more will happen.

Jacksonville was being kind by playing their 2nd string, getting ready for playoffs. I would like to have seen the Texans win against the main players. Things are looking up though.

Houston was playing some second string, too. Aside from our receivers. Backup QB, two backup RB's, etc. Jacksonville basically kept their starting defense out there.

I'll give you that about Jacksonville's second stringers. But if nothing else, the Texans do finish with a victory and plenty of optimism going into next year. And there is still much work to be done.

Yes, the Texans are looking better and better. I'm not a Texans fan, but they made huge improvements this year. Lets hope next year the trend continues. I love good, competitive football.

The Texans set single-game franchise records for points scored on three occassions this year: (34 against Carolina, then 36 against Tennessee and then 42 yesterday against Jax).
They set a franchise record for total points scored in a season with 379 (they scored 30 or more points 4 times this season, also a franchise record and cracked the 40 point market for the first time ever against Jax).
They set a franchise record for total wins with 8.
Mario Williams set the franchise record for individual sacks in a season with 14.
The Texans finished with their highest average yardage per game offensively this year and their highest ever total offensive ranking within the NFL.
The Texans set a single-season record for kick returns for touchdowns (punt and kickoff).
All this while playing in what was the league's toughest division this year.

^^And having the most players injured and on IR. When healthy next year, 10 wins should not be too difficult.
