I am a resident of Oak Forest and I'Ve heard that one of the most popular proposed routes for the HSR train will run through Oak forest. My question to you is will this affect real estate prices in this area?

There's a train line that runs just North of 34th Street
Ask your neighbors if that has affected their real estate prices

This is different, this train will be going at 200mph, 4 times per hour and elevated 20 feet above the current train tracks.

if it's elevated, you won't see it
compared to the existing train that is at ground level, stops traffic and blows the horn everytime it goes by.
