You have to do what works best for you. I refuse to tell someone to live where they work. I think that's the worst advice ever. I don't want to see people I deal with on a professional level on the weekend if I am out and about in town. I like my work life and home life to be completely separate and I guess that's why I have 3 offices and my closest drive is 35 miles one way and the farthest is over 75 miles one way.

Good luck..

I'm confused on what you want out of a place to live. Revelations styles paved with diamonds, pearls and gold for $700?

What can you afford and what's your limit?

Vintage Park is full of nice places. Cypresswood is littered with nice complexes within throwing distance from Tomball.

Cinco Ranch to Tomball? You must've found heaven in Houston for $500 with all the bells and whistles to even be contemplating something like that.

I'd do it if I had a certain amount of money to spend but you seem to be extremely budget conscious/limiting for a medical professional....unless you went to XXXU and are paying back $200k or you're more tech like with a naturally lower budget. But it's all confusing in a way.

This apartment is convenient to work but I'm at the point in my life where I work really hard & just want to love the place & environment I come home to. At the last minute I found a very upscale in law suite for rent in Cinco Ranch. It's stunning, private, & significantly cheaper.
IMO, when you get to that point money should be no object and something $1000+ should be a drop in the bucket. You should be at the "I wanna spend no more than $1500 on a place" or so. Not sub $1000.
