Does anyone know who takes care of people parking on the CURBS?

I am not sure whether this gentleman understands that there is a curb for people to walk and not to park his Truck.

Do we need to let HOA know about it .

I get your point, but in a car-centric city like Houston where foot traffic is minimal and not a necessity of life usually, I'm not sure you're going to get a lot of people on your side with this one. You probably can call the parking authority if you're within their jurisdiction, but you're not going to make a lot of friendly neighbors that way.

Contact your HOA and see if there are any restrictions about this.

Blocking a sidewalk and Hazard in the roadway are violations on most cities. Both involve right of ways not own by the property owner. HOA can also fine in very case I have seen. That guy is already not making friendly neighbors; don't see the problem of reporting.

lol, to me this is funny this is even an issue. this is stuff i rarely notice. this seems like something someone w/ too much time on their hands would worry about. unless there's garbage/cars on the lawn, i dont see why this is bothersome to people. theres obv no heavy traffic, i dont see what the big deal is about having to walk behind/around the truck. neighborhood looks dull, as is the issues with people living there.

My little driveway looked like that this week. It's Christmas, we had family visiting. My driveway is tiny just like that, and yes, that's what 3 vehicles in the driveway will look like.

Remember, the streets are narrow too. Personally, I prefer people park in the driveway (even sticking out a bit) than in the street where its harder to get around. (especially when cars are parked on both sides) My neighbor just had newborn twins and folks are parking in the street in front of my house (visiting/ helping I s'pose) I put up with it because it isn't a big deal, honestly.

I'd give them a pass, especially since it's the holiday! But even if its everyday, I don't think its that big of a deal. Is it really worth damaging a neighbor-relationship? There are worse neighbors than these!

I really don't know what you expected in homes with small driveways on narrow streets. I'd love to live in a neighborhood with wide lots, or long driveways with detached garages. Sadly, wasn't in our price point. Seems like it wasn't in yours either.

Personally I would rather have a large truck like that in a driveway blocking a sidewalk that I can easily walk around instead of being in the street that I would have to veer around with a vehicle.

I don't like it either but it's pretty much common in most neighborhoods so you kind of have to get used to it. And agree, I'd rather that than on the street

Just practice your "Dukes of Hazzard" hood slide across the truck hood if you're walking down the street.

It is an unfortunate fact of life for those of us who actually like to walk. It's annoying in our neighborhood because it is many driveways not just one.
