That's a great idea. I went through hell last summer due to bed bugs. Took 2 treatments to get rid of them. I still fear they may return. I'm very cautious of what comes into my apartment now.

Go to costco, buy one for any price, return it once your visitors leave.

Done and Done.

What kind of treatments? I doused my apartment with 70% and 90% rubbing alcohol with a spray bottle and did those f*ckers in really quick.

I slept on my futon out front for about a month before I figured that trick out. I am sure the birds nesting in the awning above my mancave room carried them and they crawled in through the windows, got up into my desk chair and I carried them to my bed. Just those two places had them. Period. My bugs just wanted to stay warm in January, I guess.

Except Costco and the shareholders. Eventually the price on everything else at Costco goes up ifwe all did that.

Somebody will have to eat the price of that returned mattress. They can't sell it.

ya think?

a couple of years ago, I purchased a toaster at Target. The box appeared ok. While unpacking my new toaster, I was surprised to see an old filthy dirty one. Someone had carefully inserted their beat up old toaster in the box and returned. The service clerk said that kind of thing happened all the time.

Judging from the response from some of my neighbors when I told that story, one need not be poor low life trash to think that kind of thing is ok. I discovered some thieves have a ton of money and go to church regularly.
