About 6 months to a yr ago there was a thread someone said they had plans to bring 1gb internet to Houston I have had so many problems with Comcast internet I am just about ready to switch.

100+ mbps is plenty

in a few years we'll be streaming everything and then need those heavy speeds

I have had 1 Gig service from Entouch since last November, so yeah its been here. But Entouch's fiber network is not available everywhere.

Verizon will not be expanding FiOS.

And as far as ATT goes...
