Hi, all. I and a friend were investigating living near the Wildcat golf course close to Fannin and Reed. I was wondering your thoughts on the area. I know it's close to Sunny Side, where dragons be, but I am curious to hear your thoughts on this particular area: crime rate most importantly, but any other information would be nice. Thanks!

I live in the Fannin Station community by InTown Homes and I love it there. If your budget is high enough definitely take a look at those houses. It's gates and away from the Sunnyside area where the crime rate is high. Thefts and robberies are highly concentrated in that area. You can track all crime activity reported to HPD on their website.

Thanks for the responses, all. My budget actually isn't too high - a rental with a roommate is the plan. The fact that a previous poster said 77045 has some nice townhomes is great, as we are looking into that specific area. Maybe I can get my golf game off the ground, there.

Is that area west of 288? If so, then the area should be fine since Sunnyside is east of 288.
