Hi, do Medicare patients have any trouble in getting a doctor in the Houston and surrounding areas? After I retire, I will have a supplementary insurance bit the Medicare will be the primary when I reach 65. Scared, please let me know.

You'll be able to find a primary care doctor with no problem...but just know that yes, there are specialists out there who do not accept Medicare. My OB/GYN is one who doesn't.

I would be more worried about the government going broke trying to pay for all the baby boomers retirement and medical bills.

Did you even read the original post?

The OP is almost 65, I doubt he/she is too worried about paying baby boomers' medical bills...is obviously worried about his/her own...

OP is not worried about paying his/her own bills, but rather worried about having the govt pay said bills and thus I believe my original point applies.

You can watch this video for some clarity:

Thank you, I am mainly worried about having a primary doctor. I am not worried about paying my bills, worried about getting doctor willing to see me!

Either we get taxed into oblivion or the system falls flat. The OP is definitely going to have something to worry about once the baby boomers retire en masse, thus essentially lumping the Baby Boomers and the Silent Generations into one. One that is standing there with their hand stuck out, wanting free money from us, and lots of it.
