Just because my experience is different than yours doesn't mean it's ''wrong.'' It's "different." I have progressive and I can't get my coverage down below $650 per 6 months. Full coverage on two 3-4 yr old cars. I shop around every 6-12 months and have found I am somewhat stuck being an established customer now.

518/528 (by the AutoZone and Jiffy Lube) is 5 minutes from the freeway; I'll give you that if you hit all the greens. But it also takes you another 5, sometimes 10 minutes to get to Dixie Farm Rd exit ramp, depending on time of day, while I am already there once I make my right turn onto 45.

I never said Friendwood was closer in any other post than clear lake.I said i have lived in both and would rather live here even if it is ten minutes farther away.

You can either pay on the tollway or take 610 for free and it's about the same distance. On 610, exit to I-10 east and then take the Federal Road exit.

You could also take 610 to Highway 225 and exit at the Washburn Tunnel, go through it and you're practically there.

Not sure about Friendswood ISD, but Clear Creek ISD (and HISD) dropped their tax rate by 0.3% for 2007. I'm sure it won't last very long. Therefore add 0.3% to the numbers above to get a better idea of what's to come.
