Hi, what does a 0 address mean in the city of Houston please? I thought it was city owned/jurisdiction property, but I know that's wrong. Does it mean unfinished land without city services? I would appreciate an answer to what seems to be a difficult to Google question. Thanks!

It's probably a lot or piece of property that hasn't been surveyed yet.

Thank you,if that's so, then how did the original owner buy the property? If you want to buy the property, how does the seller know what they're selling? I'm kinda' looking at lots like this that may be sold and I'm not sure how it would play out.

It has a legal description, just not a 'regular' address. I'm sure it's been plotted out, but has a legs description like Lot 2 Block 6, area name section 11 or something like that. It just doesn't have 234 Main Street address yet.

ha ha. I could figure out one lot's address by the legal description, but on another one I didn't even see where the number was. Anyhow.

Based on legal description. When you buy property the address is never mentioned in the deed. If its in a subdivision it will reference the lot and plat, if not then it will be something like 1 acre out of the such and such survey being the same land as conveyed from So and So to So and So on such and such a date.
