You know downtown isn't so bad after "normal" working hours. What had saved me in long nights at the office downtown is https://www.houstonfood2u.com... I mean there is virtually any restaurant I want in to my office.

If so many new lofts are under construction, I guess it might not be a wise time to purchase in one of the older buildings. I had been looking at St. Germain, but I think I'll hold off a while. The older units may be hard to sell if there are so many new lofts opening up soon.

Not necessarily. The older lofts have a lot of character and have been rehabbed with modern amenities. I like the old warehouse look. You can't just build a new 7 story building and call it a loft...the new building are more like regular condos.

Good points. I wonder if the electricity bills are outrageous with those really high ceilings.
