I like mines. One of my relatives purchased a Lennar home recently and compared to her home, I would say DW is a lot better.

Last house was a David Weekly I had built in 2004 and sold in 2014. House was absolutely flawless the entire time I owned it, and weathered Ike like a champ. Can't say enough nice things about the folks at DW and the quality of the home I was in. A lot can change in 11 years though, so your mileage may vary.

They are a large production builder so you'll always find some people who complain, but they have a very good reputation in the industry.

I am not a huge fan, but it depends on who you are comparing them to?

How about David Weekly vs. InTown Homes?

Honestly, I would choose "none of the above"

I have seen comparable build quality from other good builders and I do not see a reason why DW charges such a premium. Their build quality may be good but you will spend a hefty premium for the options to turn your house to a somewhat non-generic home level.

weekly over intown every day of the week. weekley builds a better quality home than intown. intown imports a TON of materials from china direct. they outsource many jobs to china as well. they will take the lowest price on anything regardless of quality. weekley does have some standards and will pay for quality. they dont beat up trades to get the lowest possible price like intown. i was a former "trade partner" with intown and weekley both, ive seen 1st hand the practices and quality.
