How come there isn't as much as a rivalry between Rockets and Spurs, or even Mavericks and Rockets? Is it because Cowboys are considered "Americas team"?
Back to the subject I'm a Texans fans but I see our rival teams as anyone else in the AFC South. Especially the Colts.

How do you not understand this? Rivalries between teams within the same state can be some of the most fierce and intense. Most Texans fans...including me...loathe the Cowboys and their fans.

I'm a student at North Texas but even the Houston students primarily root for the Cowboys.
Then when it comes to the NBA they'll root for the Rockets. What gives?

I don't even like football, but I was rooting for the Texans when I lived in Houston. My husband was the same, but he loves the Broncos more being born and raised in Denver.
