I love Austin. If I were to buy a lotto ticket and win millions, I'd be living on Lake Austin. Austin is awesome, IMHO. However, just like Houston, Austin also has dirty and ugly areas. I KNOW this by living in Austin for five years.

I will say it's good to know you enjoyed your weekend as a tourist in such a cool city.

In general Houston isnt very clean or attractive. Lack of zoning, those huge billboards, signs outside strip centers are reasons many parts of Houston are an eye sore. Having said there are many charming parts of the city. People can argue all day if Austin, Seattle or any other city is more or less ugly. Can we all just agree that the roads are ****???
