Commuting in Boston can be awful, but the distances are not like they are here and the traffic is not as backed up there as it is here almost all the time in rush hour. Boston is geographically a very small city. I was just there and I could walk from one side of town to the other (I do walk a bit longer distances than most people, but still). You cannot do that in Houston.

Houston is 4th largest in population with over 2,000,000 people. Boston ranks 24th with 650,000. That makes a big difference in commute times. Houston is also 4th in land area. Boston is 140th in land area.

Just to give him an idea...
I'm taking care of a friend's house who moved out of the country, I check it every other weekend
I live in North Houston and his house is just South of Katy
When he first asked me, he offered to pay me $100/month to check his house because it's so damn far

Why commute for 3 or 4 hours when it could be 30 minutes or less?

Where in SW Houston (approximate cross streets) and where in NW Houston? SW and NW cover VERY large areas.

We will tell you one thing if she is working in Cypress and you in the Energy Corridor - versus her in Spring and you in Sugar Land. Houston is bigger than some of the states. Imagine a city with Boston, Worchester and Providence as boundaries - Houston is a little larger than that. Now add traffic congestion. We are trying to save you a nightmare.
