Do you think fat people have had no control over their weight their entire lives? As a gay male, I can assure you I've had no control over my sexuality. Are fat people really demonized and attacked the way gay people have been the last 30-40 years in this city? Are there any ads unfairly likening fat people to sexual predators?

If it wasn't for our ridiculous property tax laws, that wouldn't have necessarily occurred.

All sorts of people get displaced from their neighborhoods by our horrible taxing system.

So, just to make sure I understand you correctly, are you saying there are no medical conditions that would make a person fat?

I'm not saying you're wrong on this because I don't know enough information, but this gentrification cycle happens in every major US city. Gays flock to a cheaper, under utilized pocket of a city and began to make it nicer. Eventually it becomes 'trendy' and all sorts of shops and restaurants move in. Then yuppies want to live there as it has become a safe and vibrant neighborhood near a city centre, thus raising prices and forcing most of the gays out. There will be a new 'Montrose', and im sure the yuppies will come for that too. It happened in Manhattan, first the west village, then the east village, then other areas of the lower east side, now western Brooklyn has been the new area but even that's changing again.

There were NO ads likening gay people to sexual predators. Negative Ads were only saying they didn't want men in the ladies room.

And if you havent heard of people being descriminated for being LGBT, get your head out of the sand.
I said protections in real estate....NAR, which happens to encompass something along the lines of 99% of Texas realtors added protections for LGBT last year....any Realtor who violates the protections will lose their association with NAR, which for ALMOST EVERY city, means they will be kicked off the MLS, which is THE only reason realtors have jobs at all.

National Association of Realtors adds gender identity protection to code of ethics | Articles | dot429

My head is firmly planted on my shoulders, I checked...I still don't see any discrimination and I am out/about quite a bit.

I am sure it exists, but it probably happens less frequently than say discrimination against someone for being a Christian...which happens ALL the time now.
