My main point was about generalization. Bengalis, Keralites, Muslims do not celebreate Diwali. The Hindu festivals are always celebrated during weekends in most temples for convenience.

Do you think since its Diwali, Indians would take the day off from work?

And they would come and pray to GOD who himself would be at minute maid park

I think you should enlighten us Americans on how to play the game. I've watched it several times and just don't get it.

I agree with you now. Diwali has lost its sheen living abroad as you cannot burst firecrackers, cannot get great sweets and most Indians are from Andhra Pradesh, kerala where Diwali is not the supreme festival. Plus the generation who is born here will look at this very differently.

If there was BOOM BOOM also with GOD and also DADA, then we can expect even more fun.

Will Sheriff Blaylock BBQ be open at the stadium tonight?

If not, What are the snacks typically consumed during a match?

Also, will there be guys in worn jerseys and Reliance trucker hats fighting over Dev or Singh as the best cricketer?

Yes BOOM BOOM and Sehwag opening would have been awesome. Dada has too many obligations as administrator i believe. But he would have got a great reception due a larger Bengali population..

Think they should be open. I think its nearing capacity crowd . There will be lot of colors especially India and Pakistan since their stars are playing and they will cheer their players.

I just hope there is no trash left under the seats, as its the case with every cricket match played in India or Pakistan.

Dev or Singh are of the 80's. This time it will be "Sachin Sachin" , even though the best players in his era are playing too.
