I need help in finding a good, reliable, honest moving company (insured and bonded) for a local move from the Rice Village area in Houston to the Clear Lake area. Does anyone have a company they could recommend? Many thanks. Beaucamp

Here is the best mover in this country--he's a driver from United and moved us from Chicago to Houston and back to the Midwest (Ohio) last year:

Glen
United Van Lines -East End
713-644-1811

Gaylon will estimate it for you; Glen is the driver you want

I have used 3-Men Movers 3 times now, and each time had terrific service. Used a different crew each time, but they were on time, on budget, didn't screw around or break anything.

A word of advice: If you have a move that doesn't take all day, then be the first one on the crew's schedule that day. They are human and get tired from all that lifting. Being the second client of the day means a greater chance for breakage.

I've been using All Points Moving and Storage since I was fresh out of school. Love them.

When I moved from Spring to Magnolia I used Miguel & Sons and they were awesome and their price was very good. You might want to give them a call

Whichever company you decide to use, go to Moving: How to avoid Moving Company Scams and see how they are rated before signing with them. This is a great website with lots of useful info for both local and long distance moves. I know since it saved me from being scammed when I moved here from Virginia. Good luck with your move!
