I used to bring my own Mobil 1 and it did in fact save me money.
That's the whole reason I did it - they itemize how much they charge for each quart on the receipt.

A friend of mine goes to Carboy on Bissonnet. I know of them being involved in the whole Import Tuner stuff, which has no appeal for me, but he drives an Audi and has them do the change and disposal with his oil and filters. He swears it saves him a ton compared to going to the dealer.

That's probably because Audi charges a lot more for just an oil change than most places. Carboy does great work and I've known the owner Jackie for a long time now. I also agree that an oil change is something you can do in your own garage or driveway.

When I had my RS I would use motul or other premium oil but never went to dealer. Went to Reisu on N Sheperd Dr. and it was less than the dealer.
