I only recognized the Chicken Ranch / Marvin Zindler point. The rest of the list was too adolescent and pop-culture in nature. Certainly not newsworthy to stand the test of time. Maybe that blog list should ironically be on the weirdest list...

That Chinese Palace building story is interesting. So a building like that has been sitting there abandoned for 17 years?

The writer clearly didn't live in Montrose in the late 80's and early 90's. The stories I could tell....

That's stupid. As if nothing happens out there.

The only real difference is sexual in nature... In other words whorehouses and jack shacks are covert. Oh yeah and you won't see two guys "dry fencing" on the hood of a car in front of everyone, and there aren't any trannies.

In other words, there aren't any modern day heros.

Plenty of things happen out in the suburbs: Katy Mills, Chili's, Outback, um, let me see, um..... I'll think of some more and edit this later.

Edit: Olive Garden

I'm curious how many takers they actually got for the overpriced titanic meal. That Macy's table was a nice area for a private group dinner, I'm not even sure they still have that area available.
