That's a pretty messed up thing to say, especially since kids from all economic brackets do stupid stuff like drugs and gang rapes, however since the "wrong kids" as you put it, don't have deep pockets, they can't get out of jail free and spin their stories.

Economically Diverse schools are the best solution.

All of this North/South Katy nonsense will be a thing of the past in the near future. With Cane Island and Elyson, and many more high end neighborhoods to come...Katy will just be...Katy. The south side is done, north is the new spot.

LOL... I think the North/South argument is going to turn into the "East/West" argument, 99 being the divider. People are going to want to move to the more desirable "West of 99". The South is established, the North has a lot of pocket communities that were just put up too quickly and not well planned, nothing wrong with starter homes but its just too much. Katy will never be "just" Katy, its too big of an area to put under one bucket.

Should be interesting as much of the new development planned along the new Grand Parkway segment matches development favored by the South Katy / Cypress demographic and departs from the Bear Creek/North Katy fustercluck.

Bridgeland is executing a really impressive plan that will be the model for surrounding communities (along with Towne Lake, CCL, and others).

Eventually the new will become old...and maybe Katy will be just Katy or be divided by some freeway or road. I just hope it won't be like southern California, LA area where you can be in a nice area in 5 minutes, then 5 minutes on the other side, the ghetto. This higher density stuff can be a good or bad thing.

it'll be interesting to see what flood insurances rates rise to out there

problem is along 99....lack of roads for access and no zoning...look at fry road since it has opened up all the way..these newer areas will all mimic each other...another dressed up town center, same builders, different community vibe...that's all they have up 75 in Dallas

It's not rocket science. The big developers and builders made a killing in south Katy, next spot...north Katy. They go to where the land is and the freeways are.

It's zone X out there by elyson. I know a person in zone x in another community and they are paying 400 a year for flood insurance.
