Anyone else make the move from NJ to Houston area?

Thoughts? Cost of living? Schools?

We are a family of four, young kids, currently living by the beach in Central NJ.

depends what your are looking for. coming from Europe I thought Houston was quite cheap.
Housing you will have def a lot of space.

personally to mitigate easy commute, nice area, family neighborhood and good schools, while not being to far way from the "life" (restaurants, museum district) I am leaving I 10 and beltway 8 ( George town neighborhood). Lot of trees, families, playgrounds, swimming pools to remind you a bit the beach.

Commute can be hard in Houston so location is the key.

contact me in private message if you want more info

I used to live in central NJ. Been in Houston almost 12 years now. Love it here. Cost of living is cheaper here than in NJ. No jug handles too. LOL

We are in Sugar Land. It is a great suburb to raise a family.

Thanks for all the info.

We are from the Jersey Shore area, Long Beach Island. How far is Sugarland and Katy to the closest beach?

From Sugar Land you are about equal distances from either Freeport (Surfside) and Galveston each would be about an hour drive without any delays...

Our beaches aren't as nice as other coastlines, so if you want to be near "the beach," definitely visit it first .
