Which area currently has the most residential and commercial development? I'm looking for answers specifically from people who are frequently in all of these areas:

1) Fort Bend County

2) 249 corridor / Tomball

3) Greater Woodlands area

I understand each area is different, but total growth is quantifiable.

The Woodlands is planned to limit wild growth. 249/Tomball is pretty much anything goes so I'd say the development potential is greater. Also being wedged between Cypress and Spring adds to Tomball's potential.

Most currently existing from those options is the Woodlands, but Sugarland could have more when it's all said and done decades down the road. 249 is filled in but will stay primarily residential.

When talking about Fort Bend County, remember that a bunch of what is called "Katy", like Katy Mills Mall, is in Fort Bend County.

"Katy" is interesting because it is in 3 counties.
