I'm pretty sure OP means Los Angeles, not Louisiana.

OP, the Moody Garden suggestion and Space Center Houston are good ones. The visitors center is fairly updated and very kid friendly, and there are some other tours you can take that will give you more exposure to the rest of the JSC. I also like the Rothko and Menil suggestions as well, or any of the museums, really, especially at this time of year since being outside is tough.

Is LA Los Angeles or Louisiana? If it's the former then you would want to emphasize the Texan/Southern destinations. If it's the latter then museums and cultural amenities.

NOLA also has a nice art museum and a much better aquarium than the one at Moody Gardens.

good indoor places? houston museum natural science. if you never been easily spend all day if your into that stuff. I can spend a couple hours looking through their rock and mineral collection which is one of the best.

Only place in the country reference LA to Lousiana are folks around here and Louisiana. Everywhere else LA is Los Angeles.

OP, got to take them to the Space Center.

Maybe the Bat Bridge Waugh Drive Bat Colony
