Has anyone noticed the traffic being much worse than normal at this intersection? It leads to the Southbound 610 access road backing up to I 10 sometimes and it seemed like only a few cars can cross over from the parkside per light.

I could see that N Post Oak was backed up and cars trying to turn right onto it from Woodway were unable to because traffic there wasn't moving.

Is it traffic cops blocking it up somewhere? Do they realize that they are causing massive delays?

Just a guess (as I gratefully haven't had to commute down Woodway in a long time) - could it related to the school year starting at the Fay School on N Post Oak?

No there was an accident or something on 610 this morning, had traffic over there backed up everywhere. They kept mentioning it on NPR.

I actually think that gwarnecke is right about the Fay school, I remember seeing traffic guards out there last year.

However it seems like something has changed for the worse with how they manage the traffic, I don't remember it ever being this bad last year.

This sounds like the majority of intersections in Austin, every day of the year. Seriously. So it could be worse.
