My husband and I will be relocating to the Houston area sometime this spring. He will be working off of Clay Rd, 77041, just east of the golf course. We are looking for the least possible commute to an area with good schools and low crime rates. We also need to be close to Shopping and restaurants. We will be renting and are looking in the price range of 995-1300 for a three to four bedroom house. Any advise will be greatly appriciated. Also, does anyone know of any great restaurants in the area?

Working off of Clay Rd, I would suggest the Katy or Cypress Fairbanks areas. All very nice neighborhoods and schools in those areas. Bear Creek is also in that area and it is a little older. Check the neighborhoods along Barker Cypress Rd.
