Default Atascocita/Eagle Springs -- Airplane Noise

We are looking downsize and relocate from Kingwood. We love Kingwood and have a beautiful house but we need to reduce the expenses a little. We have been looking at Eagle Springs and all the various new Atascocita neighborhoods that are south of 1960. We looked at once house that was just east of Timber Forest and just south of 1960 and as we stood outside with the realtor an airplane went over and we couldn't really hear each other speaking. In all reality that is not a problem but what we are concerned with is that we like to leave our windows open all winter and my husband is afraid we will be directing airport traffic all night long. I know the plans can get stacked up there at times in that area. Can somebody please elaborate on the airplane noise? We are running out of options in our price range

I don't live in Eagle Springs, but I know someone who does and she said that the airplane noise can be pretty bad at times. This bothers some people, but not others. Another option might be Summerwood, Lakeshore or Fall Creek. (I'm not sure of your price range, but all of these neighborhoods have homes in starting in a similar range.) Lakeshore starts in the $130K's, Summerwood, $160K's, & Fall Creek $180K's. IHTH!

Has your realtor talked to some of the neighbors in the community on the airplane noise level and if in fact it is a problem?

We use to live in Eagle Springs and yes at times when they fly lower than normal it can be bothersome but in the 5 years we lived there we LOVED it and will be relocating back there at the end of Spring depending on home prices at the time.
