Pop Warner in NE Houston Area?
My family and I are relocating to Houston sometime between April and June 2008. My son is 10 y/o, will be 11 in July, and has competed in Central Jersey Pop Warner football for 5 years. Are there Pop Warner programs in the Humble area? I noticed Humble and Kingwood Football leagues. These do not appear to be associated with Pop Warner and have broader weight limits. I also noticed there are multiple football teams in the area middle schools (7th and 8th grade). This is not as common in Central New Jersey. Do the majority of kids who are interested in playing football compete in their middle school programs or do they play in other organizations? I have coached for number of years and would be interested in volunteering if there are opportunities to do so.
