Default wondering what the music scene is like in houston

is there an active music scene in houston? here in nj there are original bands, cover bands (playing other peoples music) and tribute bands, just wondering if houston has all three mentioned above or just a select type of scene.

Yes, they're all here. Check out Houston Calling and be sure to explore the links section for a more comprehensive look at the music scene here.

thank you very much to everyone that posted an answer, i will check out the links. i played here in nj in a coverband for 3yrs, the money was ok, 3-4x a week kinda took a toll on me and my actual career, so ill most likely be looking for some original projects in houston when i get there. thanks again
