Don't you think it would be great if Metrorail was also on Westheimer instead of Westpark to nowhere?

I think it should go all the way down Westheimer to Highway 6, and east on Elgin to the East End. Close the curve on Westheimer (~1300-1500 blocks) off to traffic and it can be made to work. Lower Westheimer is useless as a thoroughfare anyway with all the cars parallel parked at the antique shops.

But then Afton Oaks will get their panties in a twist again...

what now? i'm just pointing out that those people in pic#2 just got off the train which is why the area looked 'buzzling' with people...which i think was clever. I work a block away so I'm familiar with this area. if not for the train and some folks not minding a suntan, not to mention street bums everyone would just stay in doors or go underground. weellll, there the bus station crowd/scene thats a whole different picture of downtown

Does it matter if they're getting off the train? The point is that they're using Main St. for their comings and goings. People. In Houston. On the street. Using mass transit. This is a good thing. We just need more of it!
