Default Country Living Near Houston

Where is the closest area to Sugar Land that could be classified "Country Living" where a person has some acreage and what would the cost of that be with a house already on it. Sort of a ranchette type thing?

I am not familiar with the SW and SE areas of the city and want to explore some options?

You may be able to find a small tract further out 90 around East Bernard. I don't know a lot about that place as far as housing goes. You may be able to find a place on a couple of acres where you could keep chickens and such, but it may be the case that you could only find unimproved land.
