Hi, me and my husband are looking for an inventory home in katy area. We have a 2.5 year old so we want to buy a home in a good school district. We had been looking for almost 4 months. We recently liked 3 inventory homes.
First one is a perry home in Cross creek ranch (we think its a little over priced)
Second one is a K hovnanian home in silver ranch.
Third one is a westin home in Trails of katy
The home we liked the most among these 3 is the westin home in trails of katy. We love the floor plan, fits all that we were looking for and the price seems right. But our only concern is the community. Its a new communtiy so we are not sure how the value of the home will be in the future, also if its a nice community to live in with kids? Which one seems to be a good option among the 3 options that i mentioned. Please give suggestions. Thanks

There's another thread similar to this. Cross creek ranch vs Trails of Katy?

I can see why you like Westin, they are beautiful homes. We were looking into Trails of Katy 2 years ago because of Westin but the small community, unknown developer and no pool or amenities at the time and the RV dealership right in front of the community was the deal breaker for us.

We ended up in Elyson because of the area and developer, Newland Communities. You should check them out as they are also zoned to Katy ISD. They also have Westin as their builders.

I would take Cross Creek Ranch over all those communities you mentioned due to the developer and community amenities.

Cross Creek by a mile, just not a fan of Perry, but it seems you want to buy the one in Trails of Katy, so do it.
