Hi everyone! Our family is moving to the Houston area this summer and I'm having a difficult time deciding on an area to live. We have 3 sons- 1 in college, 1 will be a high school senior and our youngest will be in 7th grade. The most important criteria is a good school for our youngest sons. Both The Woodlands and Kingwood offer that. The Woodlands high school seems like it has more clubs and activities to offer other than sports and that would be great for my boys. I am concerned that there will be 1100 students per grade at the middle school though which is almost 4 times the students in his current grade. I would love to hear from parents with middle school children there. I like the Kingwood homes and yards better, but I've read reviews of Kingwood that describe it as very sports oriented, snobbish and competitive to the extreme. Can anyone share their experiences good/bad in the Riverwood/Kingwood schools and the McCollough/Woodlands high? Also, I've picked the Kings Point neighborhood in Kingwood, but I'm having a hard time picking a favorite neighborhood in The Woodlands. Suggestions for that would be welcome also. Thanks in advance!

I've lived in the Kingwood area for the last almost 5 years and I will say that the schools are good but the traffic SUCKS getting in and out of Kingwood in the areas where the good schools are (East Side), which is where Kings Point is. If I had to pick between the Woodlands and KW, and money wasn't an issue, I'd take the Woodlands.
