Hello, I am moving to new home next week and one provider has quoted me two options

$ 7.6 cents per kilow watt plus tax
or night free 9 pm to 7 am with rate of 11 cents per kilow watt

is this the good deal? please recommend if anyone is getting better rate than 7.6 cents.

Regards,

Most important, does either or both include the pass through charges?

Check the EFL sheet for each plan to know for sure. The pass through charges are easily 50% of your bill. Some plans tease a low rate by not including them in the advertised price.

That said, I have had something similar to a free night plan for the past 2-3 years, and I have made it work for me because I play the games. In the end, my bill averages 5-7c/kWh.

I crank my A/C during the free period, run the washer, dryer, dishwasher, and plug in all the portable electronics. If I didn't, the savings wouldn't be nearly as substantial.
