Question Help with Energy Providers ???

Hello

I will be moving from Germany to Spring tx soon, and have a few questions concerning electricity companies. The apartment complex that I will be renting from told me I should call Reliant for electricity. Do I have to go with Reliant or can I choose a provider on my own? I am Not real familiar how it works in the USA. It would be great if somebody could help me. What is the best way to compare rates?

Thanks alot

All the energy comes through Centerpoint lines and utilities. You have the right to choose whoever actually sells you the power, however. Follow the link that Beto provided and choose. Be careful about signing contracts and getting locked in. Sometimes its good, sometimes not.
