Prime beef at 15.00 a lb is a lb worth of edible product crawfish are about 15% yield so 20.00 essentiallly for a lb of meat. I love both however one is certainly easier and cheaper than the other

HEB had crawfish full sacks under 2.00 a lb earlier in the season

If you really want to go there, the bone isn't edible in steaks and there are people who don't eat the fat.

How much fat and bone is in a prime top sirloin? Not much fat and I never seen one with a bone.

When buying crawfish live, it's important to ask what the size is. HEB/Fiesta sells field run, which is a mixture of the sizes but you can bet it's going to be more "mediums" than larges. HEB has jumbo sizes also for 4.99lb. I always get mine from restaurants, usually selects/jumbos. They're cleaner and bigger and for .50-$1 more, its so worth it.
$3 for selects/jumbos is a steal considering HEB sells them for $4.99
