Many New Orleans families had already adapted to Houston and embraced it over the past 12 years...Did many return after Harvey? Did they evacuate (after having learned from Katrina?) Surely many Houston residents decided to live further inland after this catastrophe? ??????

We're Texans now. Per example, my state ID says Texas and I can't access Louisiana colleges, libraries, Etc without paying out of state fees because I haven't been a resident there in over a decade.

You talk about them as if they are roaches
They are people with families, jobs, friends, etc.

Once people have been in Houston more than 2-3 years ... they are “houstonians”

I'm not sure why they would flee. Natural disasters happen everywhere and there really is no perfect place to run to. I'm sure many of the people who came here after Katrina view Houston as their home now and have built a pretty good life for themselves here that I doubt they would want to leave. I've enjoyed over the years working with many people who have moved here from Louisiana and I couldn't imagine the city without them.

No. It wasn’t.

Seriously. Your intent on all of your threads is just to troll. Back under the bridge with you.

I don’t see why they would. Katrina in New Orleans was a lot worse than Harvey was in Houston so the ones that actually went through that have no reason to go back.

On the flip side, places like Orange and Port Arthur that got affected severely have moved to Houston.

We need stricter rules on trolls. They used to delete everything that seemed like a troll now they rarely remove anything.
