Default Land Surveying Jobs in Texas?

Where would someone with no knowledge about the state of Texas ( has never live or visited Texas) be better off working in the field of Land Surveying?

Anywhere. If you live in any of the big cities there is an enormous demand for surveyors created by constant development and a huge volume of real estate turnover. If you are a country boy at heart the smaller towns in and around the oilfields will have similar demand and ample opportunity.

Lone Star College (previously Montgomery College) offers a two or four year course in this - you could call up the department and ask their advice.
Or, Texas A&M has surveying degrees so you could call one of the profs and ask their advice, too. People love it when you ask for their advice. And listen to it.
