I wanted to check with my Houston friends on this forum. My wife and two kids have identified a house in the Timber Grover area in the White Oak Lake subdivision. The house in part of new construction and is made by InTown Homes. I had contacted a friend and broker of mine, and they said InTown had law suites due to faulty construction, leaky roofs, and HOA issues on the front gates etc...on the Fannin Station location, another one of their communities. Looking at the InTown Yelp reviews did not look good. Do any of you know anything about InTown Homes and the quality of their homes and communities? I appreciate your quick response, as we may be putting down an offer soon.

I personally wouldn't live there. The homes are built around a retention pond that will be mosquito filled and annoying, and the development is in one of the lowest spots in the surrounding area.

WRM20, do you know if this area flooded during Hurricane Harvey?

I don't know for sure, but some of the areas nearby flooded, and the current flood maps show that location in the 100 year flood plain. Here's a link to the FEMA flood maps ~Flood Information Portal for Harris County, TX~

Keep in mind that garages are seldom built up above the base flood elevation. Your house may not flood, but the vehicles might.

I would ask if the houses are built to conform with the new Houston requirements that go into effect in September, which is the finished floor must be 2 feet above the 500 year flood level. Current regulations are 1 foot above 100 year flood level.
