Hi Everyone,

I am considering a career change and have always had an interest in Logistics/Supply Chain Management. However, I don't have a degree in SCM/Logistics and I have no prior experience in it (I'm a shoe-in, for sure! ), but nonetheless I want to learn more about the field. I just have always had an interest in international business and the whole process of international logistics and SCM.

Realistically, I'm unsure if any business would let you volunteer to learn more about the business, or if it would be best to just figuratively knock on HR doors until you convince them to let you get some job which exposes you more to the industry. I realize more schooling is an option, but I'd rather first see if the field is something that I'd truly enjoy before making a huge commitment like that.

I saw that there is an APICS chapter in Houston, so I will definitely contact them as well, but I was hoping to get as much advice as possible from various sources.

Thanks again!
