Just moved here and feel like having a really good cheesesteak. I already tried Papa Geno's and wasn't all that impressed.

I've had cheesesteaks in Philly and by far the closest thing is at Deen's Cheesesteak. hidden gem over at 5222 Barker Cypress rd. Houston 77084

Tornado Burger in Stafford/Missouri City has a pretty good Philly. Don't remember if they have the whiz or not though.

Agreed, tried Geno's once and thought it was overrated. Charlies makes a better cheese steak.

What part of town are you in. It looks like you were asking about Ventana Lakes a few years ago. Tornado Burger is great but will be a long drive from NW Houston.

I would say expect to be disappointed every time as would a Texan seeking great BBQ in Philadelphia, a Chicagoan seeking great pizza in Indianapolis, etc.
