The intern Super was doing a good job with the mess she was left with. This doesn't pass the smell test.

Leftist eating each other over identity politics. The Hispanic board members said the interm super independent should be Hispanic because 62% of the district is Hispanic. That did not sit well with the black board members who cried racism instantly.

Where may I read about this?

BTW mark I must state that identity politics is inevitable as politicians in democracies cater to blocs. Those are not only by race and ethnicity but also social class, job titles, and age. Republicans have their pet blocs too, but that those blocs don't have a big presence in HISD.

I don't get to make up my own facts...I'm just telling you what is happening. You can bury your head in the sand if you would like - but it doesn't change what is happening.

To be frank the feuding between the emergent Hispanics and the suburbanizing blacks is nothing new. Many African American neighborhoods are getting influxes of Hispanics, and its making African Americans feel like theyre losing control of sectors theyve held. You see it in Dallas and Los Angeles too... Compton is now majority Hispanic but the politicians are still mostly black.

What shocks me is that Saavedra is back!
