Hello there,

I am looking through the har website and my budget for a house is 130ks, can you guys please let me know which areas or zip codes are not good to live in and what are the nice spots?

I am making the biggest move of my life soon and visited texas for a few days ealier and it was nice, but I don't anything about the good and bad locations, your help is much appreciated.

First, understand that Houston is a very large city and it could take up to 2 hours to drive from one side to the other. Given that, there are nice areas on every side of town. We could better help you if you give the approximate location where you will be working and the length of commute you prefer.

I second that - do you know where you will work yet? There are good neighborhoods on virtually all sides of Houston. If you don't know where you will work - then perhaps post some zip codes that you are looking at and we can tell you about them. The farther out of the central business district you go, the prices will get lower as well --- long commutes. There are a few exceptions for some pricey neighborhoods that are far away.

77095 is the zip code...any input if this is a good area or not? copperfield subdivision. also 77433,77388 I m looking through har at these lsitings...subdivision cypress.

Let me know what you folks think.

If you will be working in the Copperfield area, then the 77433 would be ok. I would look anywhere from the Champions area to the Katy area for housing. Be wary of any homes too close to creeks or flood control ditches (check for previous flooding).
